There are moments when I stand alone in my convictions. My family does not always understand my choices. Friends have distanced themselves. Governments and corporations have tried to silence me. In these moments I have had to dig deep and ask: Do I believe in this? Am I willing to face consequences? The answer has always been yes. But it takes courage to stand alone. It takes courage to face criticism and not crumble. It takes courage to continue fighting when progress feels impossible. I have learned that courage is not the absence of fear. It is feeling the fear and acting anyway. It is knowing that my small actions matter even if I do not see results immediately. It is trusting that history bends toward justice.
