Growing up I was taught that my body was something to be ashamed of. I was told to cover up to not take up space to not draw attention. This damaged my relationship with my body. For years I did not inhabit my body. I lived in my head disconnected from my physical self. Yoga brought me back home. Through yoga I learned to love my body. Not as an aesthetic object but as a vessel of wisdom and sensation. I learned to listen to my bodys signals. I learned to move in ways that made me feel alive. Now I teach others to reclaim their relationship with their body.
