I never thought of myself as artistic. I was logical and analytical the one who solved problems with code. But when going through depression I needed an outlet. I started photography. I bought a camera and took pictures of street scenes nature light and shadow. Photography became my meditation. It slowed me down and forced me to notice details I would have missed. It connected me to the present moment in a way nothing else had. I took classes studied composition and lighting. Now I exhibit my work in local galleries. The point is I have found a way to express the deepest parts of myself. Photography has shown me that I am not just an engineer. I am an artist.
