I grew up in a traditional Indian household. Everything was prescribed. I was supposed to be dutiful obedient quiet. Something inside me rebelled. At eighteen I discovered yoga. Real yoga. The practice of union between body mind spirit and the divine. For the first time I felt I had permission to explore myself. Through breath through movement through meditation I began to know myself. I began to trust myself. I began to honor my own path. Now I teach yoga to help others find that same liberation.
